‘’The Prime Minister’s message will focus on Canadian efforts at home and on the African continent for the restart of African economies,’’ said Sebastian Spio-Garbrah, Chair of the Board of The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business.
During a media briefing he added ‘’the address will underscore that Canada and Africa have many opportunities to be strong partners, with reference to existing programs, future opportunities and his visit last year to the African Union’’.

High Commissioners and Ambassadors convene in Ottawa
The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business Seminar and Reception featured a presentation from the Parliamentary Centre of Canada, who shared details of their work available to Parliaments across the continent.
Vice Chair of the Board, Paula-Caldwell St-Onge, graciously hosted the event; she was joined by the President from Toronto and the Vice President in Ottawa. Guests from the Government of Canada were also in attendance, including MP Rob Oliphant and Assistant Deputy Minister for Sub-Saharan Africa, Mala Khanna.

Over 30 Ambassadors, High Commissioners and their representatives convened in Ottawa.
Accelerating trade and investment through our Africa-based operations
Mr. Sebastian Spio-Garbrah continues to drive the Canada-Africa Chamber’s agenda across the African continent since his appointment as Special Envoy on Trade and Investment to the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) Secretariat.
