Financial Manager at Dynafoam Converters (Pty) Ltd

Port Elizabeth, Nelson Mandela Bay, Eastern Cape, South Africa

As from March 2021, I have joined the team at Dynafoam Converters (Pty.) Ltd. in the capacity of Financial Manager. Dynafoam is a versatile supplier of various gaskets, felts and pressed foam parts that meet the stringent specifications of the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) as well as supply other customized packaging and foam items that fulfill numerous requirements in other markets.

Off the back of nearly fifteen years’ experience in various accounting and managerial functions at CFAO Motors (Pty) Ltd (February 2006 to January 2021) which is one of the largest dealer groups in the South African Automotive Retail Industry, I have gained invaluable knowledge that encompasses financial accounting and controls as well as operational and strategic decision making which I believe will allow me to further grow and add value within my new position.

I hope to commence my Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) in 2022, and am currently in the application process at the Nelson Mandela University Business School. The aim of my research proposal is to consider the ‘Guidelines for Competition in the South African Automotive Aftermarket’ which was finalized in December 2020, and attempt to reconcile the OEM’s quality control with retail customers’ right-to-choose and to further compare this to the Automotive Aftermarket of a First-world country like Canada.
