Overview of Eduvos

Eduvos has a long history that started in 1979 with the founding of the Computer Technology Institute (CTI) that was later merged with Midrand Graduate Institute (MGI) and operated for some years as Pearson Institute of Higher Education (PIHE). The new name of the institution was the result of a change of ownership and a new focus on high quality, affordable, blended learning across Africa.

Eduvos is a degree granting private higher education institution registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training, quality assured by the Council for Higher Education and its qualifications is registered with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

The registration of our degrees with SAQA ensures the international acceptance and recognition of Eduvos degrees. South African education is highly valued due to the strict quality assurance to which institutions such as Eduvos subscribe.

To accommodate market demands to upskill and reskill working adults with ever-evolving skills sets, as well as skills required for the future (e.g. 4IR). Eduvos products offer flexible learning solutions to corporate and adult customers and deliver a specific set of accredited and non-accredited programmes across various learning modes.

Meaning of Eduvos

The word Eduvos comes from the concept of your education. The “Edu” part of Eduvos talks about education and taking custodianship and responsibility. The “Vos” part of Eduvos talks about you, yourself, and your best self. The combination of Edu and Vos talks about taking responsibility for your education and its making.
