McCain Foods South Africa (Pty) Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of McCain Foods Ltd, a family owned company with its head office in Florenceville, New Brunswick Canada. The company was started by the McCain brothers in 1957 and today, one in every four fries sold globally, is a McCain fry.
McCain SA is the market leader in both the frozen potato and vegetable categories with retail customers including Shoprite Group,PnP Group, Spar Groupand Woolworths. From a food service perspective, McCain is the supplier of frozen fries and other products such as appetizers to McDonalds, Nando’s, Burger King, KFC, Chicken Licken, Ocean Basket, Spur Groupand other Independent Restaurant Operators.*

Manufacturing facilities are based in Delmas (potatoes) and Springs (vegetables), with a pre-processing plant in Marble-Hall, a commercial farm in Lichtenburg and a seed-farm in the Delmas/Bapsfontein area.
