National Business Initiative (NBI)

The National Business Initiative (NBI) is an independent, non-profit company that serves as a trusted bridge between business and government, driving collaborative action to unlock a sustainable, inclusive and competitive South African economy. Established in 1995 to leverage the role of business in advancing society, the NBI uses collective action to achieve systemic change, strengthen business capacity, and build trust in the role of business in society. Our work is anchored in four strategic pillars: Environmental Sustainability, Economic Inclusion, Social Transformation, and Institutional Capacity Building.
