Webinar 8 June 2020 – China in Africa: Debating the Impact for Businesses
Dear Members and Partners
China has, over many years, established itself as a significant trading partner to South Africa and indeed many other countries on the African continent.
The recent launch of the African Continental Free Trade Area (“ACFTA”), the largest free trade zone since the advent of the World Trade Organisation has ignited huge interest globally and the question being asked is whether this development will bring about a shift in trade and investment dynamics on the African continent?
To address this question and obtain insights into a recent report on China-Africa relations, SACANCHAM , in partnership with our colleagues at The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business is delighted to invite you to participate in a webinar on Monday 8 June at 5pm CAT on the subject, China in Africa: Debating the Impact for Businesses.
The session will be hosted by Policy Analyst, Joshua Meservey in virtual roundtable format. You will be able to ask questions directly and Chatham House Rules will apply.
Joshua is the former Head of Africa for the non-partisan Atlantic Council and is now based at the Heritage Foundation, ranked number one globally for impact on public policy according to a University of Pennsylvania report.
